EXPLORE AS A LOCAL WITH A LOCAL!
…on a small group tour
In Sardinia Island Tours we are english speaker certified tour guides. We offer daily private/shared boat excursions to make you discover the wonderful archipelago.
This is what we promise you for this unforgettable adventure…
We’re located in Palau, the most convenient harbour from which to reach the Archipelago by boat. Our Sightseeing & Snorkeling Boat Tours depart from Palau Marina every day with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 10. We like to get ahead of the crowds and usually leave half an hour before larger tours.
We start by navigating along the coast of Palau, where we can admire the beautiful contour of the Archipelago, some fortresses and lighthouses. Hugging the northeast section of Palau’s coast, we see the fascinating and unique architecture of Porto Rafael Village; a historical area of Palau, now protected by strict environmental laws.
After a few miles of relaxing cruising, we pick up some speed and head to the alluring islands of Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria. The crystal clear waters and pristine beaches of these uninhabited and unspoiled islands will take your breath away. Even though we see them all the time, they are still like paradise to us.
This is a leisurely tour. It’s about your experience, not just your to-do list. We plan a minimum of 3 swimming stops of about one hour each throughout the sightseeing day.
You’ll enjoy abandoned lighthouses, beautiful coves and stunning beaches. You’ll marvel over breathtaking rock formations, WWI and WWII fortresses and the enchanting wild marine life that populates the National Park.
We decide to drop the anchor based on the wind direction (we try to be as sheltered as possible), and also consider the amount of people already occupying the bays and coves. We prefer to avoid crowded areas as much as possible.
Traditional snorkeling gear is available on board as well as the full face masks so that you can enjoy a wide-view underwater experience.
A picnic is offered on board, made with fresh, traditional and delicious Sardinian food such as flat bread, cheese, sausage, vegetables, wine, etc. All served in separate containers, so if you are vegetarian, celiac, allergic, or if you simply don’t eat everything, there is no contamination between the foods.
On the full day tours, you’ll cruise in a 9 meter (30 foot) RIB boat, with two 200 hp engines for a total of 400 horse power. our boat’s capacity is for 16 passengers. However, in order to provide our guests with an enjoyable and comfortable experience on board, we accept no more than 10 people per tour (unless it’s a single group of friends or families). Shade is also provided by a retractable awning. The total tour lasts for approximately 5 hours in low season and 6 in high season.
Always remember to bring plenty water, especially on hotter days. You are also free to bring extra food if you’d like.
We’re ready and waiting to host your tour. Get in touch now.
