You can visit the Island autonomously by taking ferries from Porto Torres or Stintino. We suggest departing from Stintino, as the route is shorter. There are also guided tours via boat (around the island): but you will see mostly the coast; you can book a tour on off-road vehicles with Paolo Spina. We think this is the best way to do it as you will be visiting the Royal Palace, the Village of Cala d’Oliva, you will see much of the fauna and will be taken for a visit inside the prisons. Bicycle tours are also available on the island.
