We at Sardinia Island Tours are certified Tour Guides, we offer private or shared daily boat excursions to show you the beauties of the National Park.
Our spacious office is located in the historic center of Palau, literally 100 meters from the mooring pier and from where we leave for our adventures. On board we have availability starting from a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 10 participants. We usually depart before the mass of tourists, starting with a half hour advantage over the other boats.
Let’s start by sailing along the coast of Palau, from which you can already glimpse the archipelago, some fortifications of the Regia Marina and the old lighthouses. Hugging the northeast section of Palau’s coast, we see the fascinating and unique architecture of Porto Rafael Village; a historical area of Palau, now protected by strict environmental laws.
After a few miles of relaxing navigation along the coast, we crank the engines to reach the pearls of the archipelago: Spargi, Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria. The crystal clear waters and pristine beaches of these uninhabited and unspoiled islands will take your breath away. Even though we see them all the time, they are still like paradise to us.
This tour is all about the experience, not just your to-do list in Sardinia. We plan a minimum of 3 to 4 swimming stops (but they can be more) of about 45 min each, throughout the sightseeing day. You’ll discover abandoned lighthouses, beautiful coves and stunning beaches. You’ll marvel over breathtaking rock formations, WWI and WWII fortresses and the enchanting wild marine life that populates the National Park.
We decide where to anchor based on the direction of the wind and the degree of shelter offered by one cove rather than another, trying to also consider the smaller presence of boats, consequently giving priority to less traveled places.
Snorkeling equipment is available on board, along with futuristic full face masks that offer a 180 ° underwater view
On private tours we offer a picnic on board, made with fresh, traditional and delicious Sardinian food such as flat bread, cheese, sausage, vegetables, wine, etc. All served in separate containers, in order to please celiacs and vegetarians. On Shared tours, drinks such as sodas, beer, water, are complimentary.
On the full tour, you’ll cruise in a 9 meter (30 foot) RIB boat, with two 200 hp engines for a total of 400 horse power. Our boat’s capacity is for 16 passengers. However, in order to provide our guests with an enjoyable and comfortable experience on board, we accept no more than 10 people per tour (unless it’s a single group of friends or families). We have plenty of shade thanks to the retractable awning and fixed T-Top. In addition, the boat is equipped with a fresh water shower, ladder to get on and off easily, stereo, GPS with cartography, depth gauge and on-board touch screen computer.
Always remember to bring extra water, in addition to what we provide. You are also welcome to bring some food from home, as long as it is not red wine (it stains) or greasy/oily food that could make the boat slippery. We kindly ask you to inform us about the type of food you wish to bring with you.
Call us to organize the excursion, we can’t wait to be able to accompany you to the La Maddalena Archipelago!
